No Added Sulfites Alcohol 13% 187 Cases Made This is our second vintage of Cabernet Franc from Coquelicot. The low valley planting is well suited to Bordeaux varieties as it stays cold through the morning but gets very hot in the afternoon. This combination produces fully ripe fruit with well-balanced natural vibrance and acidity. It is routinely our most aromatic no sulfites wine with pronounced aromas of red and blue fruits, balanced tannin, and a crisp inviting mouthfeel. This site has been farmed organically for many years and has shown no residual pesticides in the wines produced from its fruit.
2017 was a warm year causing a drastic low yield with highly concentrated fruit. This fruit was hand picked, cold soaked for 3 days, fermented for 18 days on its skins with wild yeast, and aged for 10 months in French Oak. This no sulfites wine is showing well now but would benefit from cellaring up to 5 years.
