Jammy aromas of ripe juicy berries, & holiday spices, with a velvety, crisp, fruity, medium-to-full body flavor. Mulberry, huckleberry, burnt sugar, toasty oak, and black pepper finish with chewy tannins and moderate oak.
This is our third vintage of merlot from Coquelicot. The low valley planting is well-suited to Merlot as it stays cold through the morning and gets hot in the afternoon. This combination produces ripe fruit with well-balanced, natural vibrancy and acidity.
It is routinely our most aromatic no sulfites added wine with notes of berries, holiday spices and fruit cake, with a crisp, medium-to-full body and medium-long finish.
