2016 Bungalow Red
Santa Ynez Valley
Sweet Myer Lemon, peach, white flower and beeswax. On the palate, it is medium bodied, bright and clean with an opulent mouth feel, and a clean refreshing, focused finish.
This wine is a Rhone blend, consiting of Syrah and Grenache from two vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley - Syrah from MiraLaguna Vineyard and Grenache from Two Wolves Vineyard. 2016 was a warm year, causing a drastically low yield for the Grenache. The wine is lovely and bright, with crushed raspberry and cherry aromas. The addition of Syrah adds peppery savory aromas and dark berry flavors which compliments the delicate Grenache without masking it.
The fruit was hand-picked, fermented for 8 and 12 days on its skins, gently pressed and aged for 10 months in French oak barrels before blending.
30% Grenache • 70% Syrah
